2023-2024 Tuition & Policies
Newburyport Montessori School offers programs for children ages 8 weeks to 6 years old. Depending on the program, children may attend NMS for a minimum of 2 half days per week (9-Noon) to 5 full days per week (9 am – 3 pm). Additionally, we offer both before and after care to support the needs of families within our Montessori community. Before-care begins as early as 7:30, and after-care extends til 5:00.
The below fee schedules reflect the monthly tuition for the Infant Program, and the annual tuition for the Toddler, Primry and Kindergarten Programs for the 2023-2024 school year.

Student Fees
Student fees include an activity fee and a materials fee. The activity fee is $150 and is used for field trips and special programming.
The materials fee is $125 for all programs. An additional $75 materials fee is required for children in the Extended Day Kindergarten program.
Childcare
Childcare is offered from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day and is billed monthly. The rate for Childrens House students is $14/hour for one child and $20/hour for two children in the same family. The Infant Program rates are $15/hour for one child and $21/hour for two children in the same family.
Lunch and/or Afternoon Sessions
We offer Lunch Bunch from 12-1 pm for children enrolled at NMS. Lunch Bunch is available on a drop-in basis for $22/day. If Lunch Bunch is added as part of your child’s regular schedule, the fee is discounted to $16/day.
Drop-in afternoon (12:00-3:00) sessions are $50/day when not part of a student’s regular program.
If you would like your child to stay for an unscheduled afternoon on a particular day, or if you would like to add an unscheduled Lunch Bunch, requests are submitted through an online Schedule Change Request Form, or by contacting the office.
Tuition Payments
For Children’s House Programs, tuition, less deposit, may be paid in one of the following ways:

- One payment – Tuition is discounted $100 per family if received by June 1, 2023.
- Ten monthly payments via Smart Tuition – June 1, 2023, thru March 1, 2024.
For the Infant Program, tuition will be billed monthly. A deposit equal to two months of tuition will be required at enrollment, and monthly payments will begin in the month prior to your infant’s start date. The deposit will be credited to the last two months that your child is in the infant program.
ALL payments will be processed through Blackbaud Tuition Management.
Financial Aid
In light of the many changes we’ve had to put in place due to COVID-19, we are not in a position to offer financial aid for the 2023-2024 school year.
