Week 1 • I’m a Community Helper  •  June 13 – 17 * 

Community Helpers are everywhere — at home, at school, at the library, at the store.  Through walking field trips within our community, we will meet hard-working men and women who make our lives easier every day.  

Week 2 • I’m a Farmer  •  June 20 – 24  

From animals to farm machinery, crops and people, we will spend the week exploring life on the farm. 

Week 3 • I’m a Beekeeper  •  June 27 – 30 (no camp July 1st)

Explore the world of bees…become a beekeeper who inspects the hive and gathers the honey. What other insects are also pollinators? 

Week 4 • I’m a Meteorologist  •  July 5 – July 8 (no camp July 4th)  

Weather is something that children experience every day. Explore weather and rainbows through games, science activities, sensory play, songs & art. 

Week 5 • I’m a Chef  •  July 12 – 16 

Measure, mix and learn about nutrition. Create art with kitchen utensils, design your own chefs’ hat or apron, flip pancakes and roll sushi. 

Week 6 • I’m a Musician  •  July 19 – 23  

We will lift our voices in song and bodies in dance all week long. We will explore different genres of music and create instruments from recycled materials. 

Week 7 • I’m a Park Ranger/Camper  •  July 25 – 29  

Let’s go camping, animal tracking, and explore the beauty of some of our national parks. 

Week 8 • I’m an Astronaut  •  August 8 – 12 

We will have a blast learning about planets, stars, and astronauts.

Week 9 • I’m a Beachcomber  •  August 15 – 19  

Sand, tide pools, castles, birds, and shells. What might we find when combing our local beaches? We may even have a wear-your-bathing-suit-to-camp day! 

*   Please note that the first session of our Toddler & Preschool Summer Programs (June 13-17) is reserved for children who were enrolled at NMS during the 2021-2022 school year.
