Select the weeks your child will attend.  After you select a week, you will be given the option to add Lunch Bunch, Afternoons and/or Aftercare. 

When making your selections, please be sure to choose options with the days that work best for you. We will not be able to accommodate the switching of days.

Program Choices

Through walking field trips within our community, we will learn about sending letters, borrowing a book, who to call in an emergency and who helps us keep our bodies and pets healthy and strong.
As we learn about famous inventors, we’ll tinker with recyclable materials to create our own inventions—like a conveyor belt or popsicle stick catapult or even a robot.
We'll have a BLAST learning about planets, stars and space exploration. What is it like to be on a mission to the moon? As astronauts in training, we’ll make galaxy glitter, learn about constellations and explore the solar system.
Explore the world of bees…become a beekeeper who inspects the hive and gathers the honey. What has to happen for a bee to leave the hive and return to make honey? We’ll learn about bees and other pollinators, and why they are so important to our ecosystem. 
Gather your garden gloves, sun hat and tools and let's meet-up at our new planting beds where we’ll learn about growing a garden. How long does it take for a seed to become a plant? How do flower gardens stay so beautiful all summer long? What can we plant to attract butterflies to our play area?
We'll measure, mix, learn about nutrition, create art with kitchen utensils, design our own chef hat or apron, flip some pancakes and roll some sushi.  There is a $5 a day material fee for this week only.
It’s all about the process as we create beautiful pieces of artwork while learning about the different styles of famous illustrators, like Eric Carle and Leo Leoni. The children will become illustrators of their own stories.
There are many different areas of natural science--geology, archeology and paleontology, to name a few.  We’ll learn some of the differences as we explore rocks and minerals, look for fossils, and have fun with dinosaurs!
Spend the week cheering on friends while participating in a variety of gross motor activities such as soccer, ring toss, golf, spoon races and more. We’ll play some familiar games, learn some new ones, and tucker ourselves out!
Rainbows are magical, and after a warm summer rain there’s a good chance you might catch a glimpse of one in the sky!  We’ll spend the week exploring weather and rainbows through games, science activities, fine motor practice, sensory play, songs & art.
What might we find when combing our local beaches? And how can we keep our beaches clean to protect the birds and other creatures that live there? We’ll bring the beach to our classroom with a tidepool for exploring and sand for sifting.  We may even have a wear your bathing suit to camp day!

Payment Options

Please select the payment option that works best for your family. For current students, enrollment in the Summer Arts Program will be confirmed only if tuition payments are current.

Submit a check for the Total Amount Due, payable to Newburyport Montessori School. Checks can be mailed to 20 Pleasant Street, Rear, Newburyport, MA 01950, or dropped off at the school in person.

Terms of Agreement

    There is a $20 non-refundable one-time registration fee per student.

    If paying by check, registration will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. For students enrolled in the 2020-2021 school year, registration in the Summer Arts Program will be confirmed with the selection of payment via Smart Tuition, providing all other tuition and childcare payments are current.

    Prior to June 1, 2021, you may cancel enrollment in the Summer Arts Program and receive a full refund of the session fee, minus a $20 cancellation fee.

    After June 1st, requests for cancellations or schedule changes will be at the discretion of Newburyport Montessori School. We will not be able to offer refunds, however credit toward another week of the program or the 2021-2022 school year will be considered, but not guaranteed.

    The Newburyport Montessori School and its officers and directors shall not be held liable for failure of, hinder, suspension or delay in performing its obligations to the responsible party and student(s) if such failure, hindrance, suspension or delay is the result of war, action of foreign enemies, terrorist activities, labor dispute or strike, government sanction or closure order, blockage, embargo, pandemics or epidemics, an act of God (such as earthquake, hurricane, tornado, flooding, or other natural disaster), or other causes beyond the control of the Newburyport Montessori School.
